Reviews

What our guests say

Guests who have stayed with us mostly praise two things: the location, in the heart of the old town and a step from the sea, and the personal welcome from the owners.

📍

The location is described as perfect: a few minutes' walk from both the sea and the centre, with shops, a pharmacy and public parking close by.

🤝

The welcome from Antonio and Elisa is the most appreciated part: available and flexible on check-in and check-out, with tips on restaurants and things to do in town.

🏡

The house is described as well-kept and cosy, tucked into the characteristic alleys of the old town: ideal for a quiet, authentic stay in Gaeta.

Who we are

Antonio and Elisa

Blue House isn't run by an agency, but by the two of us: we're Antonio and Elisa, and we personally look after this house in the heart of Gaeta's old town, down to the smallest detail, as we would for visiting friends. If you have any questions before or during your stay, just write to us: we'll be happy to answer.

Getting here

From Rome, Naples and beyond

Gaeta sits halfway between Rome and Naples, along the Lazio coast: reaching us is easy both by car and by public transport.

🚗 By car from Rome

About 130 km, 1h45–2h drive. The most direct route is the A1 motorway to the Cassino exit, then the Cassino–Formia–Gaeta expressway. Alternatively, the Via Pontina (SS148) towards Latina–Terracina is a more scenic coastal route.

🚗 By car from Naples

About 105 km, 1h20–1h30 drive. Again, the A1 motorway with the Cassino exit is fastest; alternatively, the Via Domiziana runs along the coast via Minturno and Formia.

🚆 By train

The nearest station is Formia-Gaeta, on the Rome–Naples line (about 1h15 from Rome Termini, just over 1h from Naples). From the station, a local bus or taxi (10-15 minutes) completes the trip to Gaeta's historic centre.
